KOC recently organized the 23^rd edition of the Company’s annual Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) CEO Awards. The event was held under the patronage of KOC CEO Emad Mahmoud Sultan.

In order to protect the health and safety of KOC employees, this year’s event was held virtually through the MS Teams platform. The theme of this year’s event was “Prevention & Protection.” A number of KOC DCEOs, Managers, and Team Leaders attended the virtual ceremony, in addition to a number of senior officials from other K-Companies.

In a speech he delivered during the event, the KOC CEO confirmed that the Company remained firmly committed to all matters pertaining to HSSE.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Award Committee, Manager HSE Dr. Musleh Al-Otaibi, noted that this year’s theme confirms the Company’s commitment to the safety and protection of employees and the environment.

This year, 229 applications for the Award were submitted in six different categories. The HSSE Award was delivered to 18 separate projects. 

During the virtual ceremony, DCEO (WK) Fuad Al-Sheikh was specifically commended because his Directorate was the most nominated KOC Directorate this year. 

Several videos detailing the various KOC projects were screened during the event. In addition, a new category was added this year titled “Best Enterprise Performance.” BS-160, GC-22, Wara PMP, and SP-137 were among the winners in that category.
